Certification

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the The U.S. Department of Labor, interpreters and translators are not subject to any certification requirements in the United States. However, there are numerous tests created and administered by certain courts, public entities, and private companies that aim to determine the proficiency level of job applicants for certain positions. These tests are in no way a credential --they only serve as proof of a certain level of skill.
